Information you provide directly. When you fill out a contact form, request a quote, book a service, or communicate with us by phone, email, or text, we collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, service address, the type of items you need removed, photos you may share, and any other details you choose to provide.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the pages you view, the time and date of your visit, the website that referred you to us, and information about how you interact with our site. This is collected through cookies and similar tracking technologies.

Advertising click identifiers. When you arrive at our website by clicking on one of our ads on Google, Facebook, Instagram, or other platforms, we collect identifiers those platforms attach to the link, such as Google Click IDs (GCLID), Facebook Click IDs (fbclid), and UTM campaign parameters. We store these identifiers in a cookie on your device so we can later understand which ads led to inquiries and bookings.

Payment information. If you pay for our services online, payment is processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full credit card numbers on our systems.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

5. Advertising Measurement and Conversion Tracking

We use Google Ads, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) Ads, and other advertising platforms to reach customers in our service area. To understand which ads are effective and to ensure we are not wasting money on ads that don’t work, we measure which ad clicks lead to actual bookings and paid invoices.

To do this, we may share limited information with these advertising platforms:

  • The fact that a conversion (such as a form submission, booked job, or paid invoice) occurred
  • The advertising click identifier (GCLID or fbclid) associated with the original ad click
  • A hashed (cryptographically scrambled) version of your email address and/or phone number, so the platform can match the conversion to its own records without us sharing your actual contact information

We use this information solely to measure advertising performance. We do not sell your information, and we do not allow advertising platforms to use it for any purpose other than the conversion measurement we have requested. The hashing process means your raw email and phone number are never transmitted to these platforms in a readable form.

The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate business interest in understanding and optimizing our advertising spend, consistent with PIPEDA’s reasonable purposes test. By using our website and submitting our forms, you consent to this measurement use.

6. Who We Share Your Information With

We share your personal information only with the following categories of third parties, and only to the extent necessary:

Service providers. Companies that help us operate our business, including:

  • Our customer relationship management (CRM) and job scheduling system (Jobber)
  • Our website hosting and form processing providers
  • Our payment processor
  • Our email and SMS communication providers
  • Our cloud database provider (Supabase)
  • Our advertising measurement infrastructure (hosted on Vercel)
  • Google and Meta, for the purpose of advertising performance measurement as described in section 5

These service providers are bound by contractual and legal obligations to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we authorize.

Legal compliance. We may disclose your information when required by law, such as in response to a court order, subpoena, or other valid legal process, or when necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety, or the rights, property, or safety of others.

Business transfers. If our business is sold, merged, or otherwise transferred, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever.

7. International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers are located outside of Canada, including in the United States and the European Union. When your information is transferred to or stored in another country, it may be subject to the laws of that country, which may differ from Canadian privacy law. We take reasonable steps to ensure that any service provider handling your information protects it in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable Canadian privacy law.
